Biography

Sheila Macdonald is the Provincial Coordinator of the Sexual Assault/Domestic Violence (SA/DV) Treatment Centres in Ontario and Clinical Manager of the Sexual Assault/Domestic Violence Care Centre at Women’s College Hospital. She has worked in this field for over 20 years and has extensive clinical experience providing health and forensic care to victims/survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence. She holds a Master of Nursing degree from the University of Toronto and is certified by the International Association of Forensic Nurses as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner. Ms. Macdonald collaborates with the 35 SA/DV programs across Ontario to strengthen hospital services for victims/survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault as well as to ensure that the care provided is standardized throughout the province.
